This Privacy Policy applies to the KeyBridge Chrome Extension. Your privacy is critically important to us. The fundamental principle of KeyBridge is that it operates entirely locally on your device.

1. Data Collection and Usage

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

KeyBridge is designed to function strictly within your browser. Because the extension intercepts physical keystrokes to remap broken keys, we want to be absolutely clear: KeyBridge is not a keylogger. It does not record your typing history, and no keystroke data ever leaves your computer.

2. Permissions Justification

KeyBridge requires the following browser permissions to function correctly:

• Storage: Used solely to save your custom key mapping preferences locally (using Chrome's chrome.storage.sync API). This ensures your settings are remembered when you close and reopen the browser.
• Host Access (All URLs): Required so the extension can actively listen for your broken key and dispatch the replacement key event on any website or browser game you visit.

3. Third-Party Sharing

Because we do not collect any user data, there is absolutely no data to sell, trade, or transfer to outside parties.

4. Changes to This Privacy Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our extension's features or permissions, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the extension after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
